According to the Manchester Evening News, West Ham wants to raid Manchester United for three first-team players.
Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay are all available for a transfer this summer. All three of them are admired by David Moyes, who would be honoured to have them join his team.
West Ham has had a difficult Premier League season this year. They are battling for survival and are currently ranked 16th in the league. The Hammers will raid the market in search of several new players as they want to survive relegation.
According to sources, Moyes will want to acquire fresh players in a variety of positions and is eager to sign these three United players. The manager believes that these players will strengthen his team and provide them with a huge boost.
United is currently having a great season; they have already won one title and are still in the running for three more. Erik ten Hag has done a fantastic job at Old Trafford since joining Ajax. Nonetheless, some of their regulars have dropped down the pecking order since his arrival.
Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay didn’t play much this season. Anthony Martial has also been sidelined because of a hip injury. McTominay, who graduated from the United Academy, hasn’t performed particularly well and is no longer a consistent member of the squad.
Ten Hag may have to look for a top-quality midfielder as he looks to bolster his midfield unit the next summer. Meanwhile, former Leicester City centre-back Maguire is no longer a regular starting XI player for United. He will probably try to convince the club to let him leave.
Also, French striker Martial is currently dealing with injuries. In the current season, he has already missed 21 games as a result of a hip injury.
Ten Hag might also explore new options in the market given that he plans to sign a new forward in the summer. However, West Ham would need to pay a good price if they want to sign all three players this summer.
It remains to be seen whether the Hammers would be able to convince United to sign at least one of these three players.
