West Ham United exploring the option of a loan deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

According to the Manchester Evening News, West Ham United is interested in signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has only played four minutes of competitive football so far this season for the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag.

As a result, there are rumours that he may depart in January, and the Hammers are now competing with Roma to sign him on a temporary loan deal. Wan-Bissaka’s representatives, Unique Sports Group, which also represents Michail Antonio, Aaron Cresswell, and Maxwell Cornet, enjoy a solid working relationship with the Hammers.

Diogo Dalot, who may be sidelined with a hamstring injury, is expected to be replaced at right-back by Wan-Bissaka against Burnley. United won’t be planning to loan out their £50 million acquisition anytime soon, but that may alter in the following weeks if a replacement is found.

The club is targeting Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen for the upcoming winter transfer window, but they could also bring back Ethan Laird, who is now on loan at Queens Park Rangers.

In either case, the choice might not be made until the end of January. Before thinking about Wan-Bissaka’s departure, United must first determine the severity of Dalot’s injury.

On the other side, Wan-Bissaka has an opportunity to gain Ten Hag’s trust this month if he can continue to put in more work while Dalot is still out.
