West Ham United keen on signing Manchester United first-team outcast Eric Bailly

West Ham United are said to be keen on signing Manchester United first-team outcast Eric Bailly in this summer’s transfer window with the Hammers boss David Moyes on the hunt for defensive reinforcements.

Bailly has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer following his curtailed game time in recent times coupled with United splashing the cash on signing new boss Eric ten Hag’s top target Lisandro Martinez.

According to a report from talkSPORT, West Ham’s sale of centre-back Issa Diop to the Premier League new boys Fulham has convinced Moyes to scout the market for a replacement with United’s Bailly being earmarked as a viable target.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Thilo Kehrer is the other name on the shopping list for Moyes who is ready to line up a replacement for the Fulham-bound Diop as early as this week with the new league campaign now in full swing.

Bailly has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Red Devils and the Ivorian central defender could be in line to sign for West Ham ahead of the weekend’s trip to Nottingham Forest for David Moyes’ men.
