David De Gea 6
Could do nothing about Yarmolenko’s first goal, made a good save with his feet off Filipe Anderson at the start of the first half. Could have maybe done better to get a strong hand on Aaron Cresswell’s freekick.
Aaron Wan Bissaka 6.5
Made some good tackles and even covered for Ashley Young on one occasion.Brilliant as always at one on one situations but his crossing can improve when he gets into good positions on the wing.
Victor Lindelof 6
Erratic at times with his passing, didn’t have much to do with the majority of West Ham’s attacks coming from the other side
Harry Maguire 5.5
Not his best display in a United shirt gave the ball too easily and could have done better with West Ham’s first goal. Had the chance to equalize in the second half from the Corner but shot straight at the goalkeeper
Ashley Young 5.5
Was caught out of position too often and was given a torrid time by Yarmolenko and Filipe Anderson
Scott McTominay 6.5
Never Stopped running and can say he gave his all, made some threatening runs and one of which led to saving from Fabianski.
Nemanja Matic 5.5
Struggled with the pace of the game and was responsible for slowing down United’s play at times. Hasn’t done enough to keep his place when Pogba returns.
Andreas Pereira 7
Was Probably United’s best player which does not say much, played some brilliant passes behind the West Ham defense. Always looked to make something happen
Juan Mata 5.5
Does not have the legs to cover the full-back and does not have the pace to run in behind. Missed a glorious chance to equalize when he turned a Daniel James cross into the side netting.
Marcus Rashford 5.5
Despite what Solskjaer says his lack of goals will be a worry for United. Drifted on the wings during most of the game. Running out of time to prove he can lead the line for United. Came off in the second half with an injury.
Daniel James 6
Reality check for the young winger. Lost the ball too easily and should have at least hit the target late in the second half.
