Mason Greenwood has very quickly turned into an integral part of the Manchester United despite being only 19-years old. The Manchester United Academy graduate had a stellar breakthrough season, scoring 17 goals in the entire 2019/20 season. In his latest pre-match press conference, Solskjaer has informed that Greenwood has a slight injury which will prevent him from being a part of the squad facing PSG later tonight.
It was earlier reported that Maguire, Greenwood, Cavani and Bailly didn’t travel to Paris, with the rest of the United squad. Greenwood was also absent from the Red Devils squad and seeing his absence from the PSG squad, the media raised questions. Several media sources even questioned Greenwood’s disciplinary issues which could have been the reason for his absence.
In his recent interview, Solskjaer said: “I can’t declare medical stuff can I? We hope it’s just a niggle and we don’t want to take any chances with him (Greenwood) and hopefully at the weekend it’ll be fine again.” The 19-year old was also seen training for the Red Devils last night, thus his absence might be short.
The talented Englishman is one of the best young players in the world and has shown everyone the hype around him was true. Greenwood has become very important to Solskjaer’s plans, and thus the manager would hope the teenager recovers as soon as possible.
