Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs Manchester United FA Cup Preview

Wolves will host Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United at the Molineaux Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Having lost against Arsenal in the last Premier League outing, the Red Devils will be hoping to put an end to their inconsistent form and progress through to the next round of the tournament.

The Red half of Manchester has failed to beat Wolves since their resurgence and return to the top flight in English football last season. The two sides have met four times since 2018 and Wolves have won two of those games, with the other two ending in draws.

The result at the Emirates Stadium meant that United have now lost 11 and won just five of their last 21 games away from home in all competitions however their home form has not been great either, with Solskjaer’s team currently sitting 5th in the Premier League table four points adrift of a top-four berth.

For the most part of the campaign, Solskjaer’s men have been inconsistent but Manchester United hasn’t lost back to back games since April and the visiting team should take some positives out of that fact.

United was dealt with a big blow as it was announced that ace French midfielder Paul Pogba would be out of action for at least one more month as he requires surgery to recover from an ankle injury and the 26-year-old joins fellow midfielder Scott McTominay on the sidelines. But it is expected that Solskjaer will be rotating a few of his squad players for the FA Cup clash against Wolves.

Manchester United’s Predicted Starting Line Up- Sergio Romero; Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Fred, Nemanja Matic; Andreas Pereira, Jessie Lingard, Juan Mata; Mason Greenwood.
