Wolves vs Manchester United: Match Preview

Manchester United travel to the Molineux Stadium to face Wolves on the 29th of August. It will be a blockbuster clash for sure and we are already waiting for the nail-biting match eagerly.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men will be getting over their draw against Southampton and hoping that they provide an answer to their mistakes. United’s match against Southampton opened up many issues that are still hovering over the team.

We expect a tough response and a different team when we face Wolves on Sunday. Jadon Sancho will most likely start for the first time and Raphael Varane will be waiting to make his debut.

While the Wolves have lost both of their opening two matches by a 1-0 scoreline and it has been a tough series of matches for them. A new manager, lots of new players, and a change in the playing style have been brought into this squad.

Wolves vs Manchester United: Team News

Manchester United will be thinking of a change in the starting XI that played against Southampton.  Many of the players were underwhelming against the Saints and Solksjaer will be making at least 2-3 changes in the starting XI.

Jadon Sancho will be hoping to make his first full appearance against Wolves. Raphael Varane will be in contention to make his debut on Sunday. We expect Anthony Martial to be benched this time because of his poor performance against Southampton.

Edinson Cavani is busy training and will not be fit to start against Wolves. Marcus Rashford is recovering from his surgery and Alex Telles is still out injured.

Injured: Marcus Rashford, Alex Telles

Major Doubt: Edinson Cavani, Eric Bailly, Dean Henderson, Phil Jones

Wolves are expected to play with their full-strength squad. We expect the same team again and Raul Jimenez will be waiting to play against United after he was injured last season and couldn’t make it for the match.

Oppostion Key Man: Adama Traore

The forgotten man who has been quiet in the first two matches. He had little impact against Leicester and Tottenham but we know how dangerous he can be when he starts getting deep into the game.

One of the most dangerous threats of Traore is his pace and strength. He has been very strong in dealing with opposition defenders and has been able to outrun them with his incredible pace.

Wolves will be trying to pass him more enough but we expect Wan-Bissaka to be solid against Adama Traore.

What we expect:

Both Wolves and Manchester United had a disappointing week and will be coming back stronger. It will a tight game but we still favour Manchester United to edge this one as their new signings will be introduced.

Our Prediction of this match: Wolves 1-2 Manchester United
