5 players who could leave United at the end of 2022 season

With the appointment of Richard Arnold as Manchester United’s new Chief Executive officer complete, there are going to be some fresh faces playing for United. But some players are likely to leave the club either due to their contract expiring or simply because they do not fit in the system Ralf Rangnick chooses to play. There are many players who could be looking for a new club in the transfer window. Here is a list-

1. Donny Van De Beek

Failing to make an impact under Solskjaer, Donny is long been speculated to leave United. Under Ralf he has not started in any match and it seems highly unlikely that Rangnick would start him. Recent reports by The Athletic have suggested that Rangnick has agreed that while his ball skills are good, he is not at par with the physical demands of Premier League and has struggled during training sessions. Donny will be looking for a change in club in the transfer window as his future is very unclear at Man United.

2. Paul Pogba

One of the superstars of the game, Paul Pogba is among one of the best midfielders currently. Pogba’s relation with the club have been of many twists and turns. There have been many instances in the past that he could leave the club. With his contract expiring on 30th June 2022, we could see him leaving the club for the second time. Many clubs like Juventus and Real Madrid have shown interest in signing the Frenchman.

3. Anthony Martial

The rumor about the Man United and Barcelona deal about a possible swap deal for Martial and Ousmane Dembélé is true and it seems that it could happen. United tried to sign Ousmane in the summer of 2020 too. Martial has been asking for a transfer for a long time and he was linked with Sevilla also but United rejected the loan move for the marksman.

4. Jesse Lingard

Although the academy graduate is eager to contest for his position under Rangnick and is set to stay in the club till the end of the season, he has been linked with many clubs for a move. He has been linked with Newcastle United and West Ham United for a long-time now. Lingard is one of the top talents of England and if Rangnick does not fit him in the playing 11, a move would not be a big problem for Lingard.

5. Edinson Cavani

“He knows that I will definitely not let him go,” said Ralf Rangnick in an interview with the press when asked about Edi.

“I told him from the very first day that, for me, he is a highly important player. We will definitely need Edi. I would rather have another Edi on top of that but for me it’s clear that Edi has to stay.” the interim manager added.

Although the manager is determined to keep the Uruguayan legend in the club, he has been linked with Barcelona who are struggling to find a clinical finisher.
