Marcus Rashford had a great season in the Premier League for Manchester United last season but also suffered from injuries. It was earlier reported that the winger has now suffered an injury to his ankle, which isn’t very serious though. But now Rashford has taken to Twitter to state that he has withdrawn from the England squad for the Nations League games, due to the injury.
Gutted 😔 never want to let this team down but these fixtures just came a little too soon for me. I tried my best but I have to focus on starting the season at my strongest for club and country. Good luck boys, I’ll be cheering you on from home 🦁♥️ @England pic.twitter.com/2OMHKPFLpm

Rashford was in red-hot form before getting injured due to a problem in his back. The United No.10 was almost unstoppable before his injury and also was the club’s second-highest goalscorer last season, behind Anthony Martial. But since the restart, Rashford has found it difficult to score goals and has looked visually tired and out of sync.
It was also reported that Rashford was playing through the pain barrier in the last games United played last season. But the winger has now withdrawn from the England squad, as it was feared earlier, and will reportedly take rest to start the Premier League fit. The Three Lions are expected not to miss the charisma of Rashford because they already have a lot of firepower up-front.
The Red Devils will be happy that Rashford has withdrawn from the England squad, as he will now rest and try to be fit for the Premier League.
