Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes finally missed a penalty in the Premier League after scoring from his last 10 in the Premier League. Bruno was on the score-sheet though for the Red Devils with a beautiful finish from Marcus Rashford cheeky pass in the second half. In his post-match interview, Fernandes was sporty about his missed penalty and also congratulated Newcastle’s goalkeeper.
Bruno Fernandes has arguably turned out to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since joining the Red Devils. The Portuguese midfielder is a constant threat to the opposition and so was the case last night as well. Fernandes ended the game with a goal and an assist, which takes his tally to 20 goals and assists in 18 Premier League games.
In his post-match interview, Fernandes said: “I want to put the ball more in the corner but it was not good enough. Congratulations to him on being the first to save a penalty in the Premier League from me. That’s 11 taken and one missed. Now people can say I can miss a penalty.”
The Portuguese magnifico has been fantastic for United since his arrival and has been praised by almost every football pundit. Fernandes will be eager to carry his form into the Champions League as Manchester United are drawn into a tough group. The Red Devils face PSG on Tuesday and Fernandes will surely be at the centre of things the Red Devils do going forward.
