Marcos Rojo’s latter part of his career hasn’t gone the way the Argentine international would have liked to, at Manchester United. The defender has had a poor last couple of seasons at Old Trafford and was even put for sale in the summer transfer window. It is now being reported by The Sun that Sheffield United will try to sign Marcos Rojo in the upcoming January transfer window.
In the January transfer window this year, Rojo was loaned out to Estudiantes, in his native Argentina. The centre-back failed to produce the goods there, after being injured in his only game for the Argentine club. After his return, Rojo hasn’t represented Manchester United but is a part of the club’s Premier League squad this season.
It has been reported that Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United are trying to sign Marcos Rojo in the winter transfer window. Sheffield might try to sign him for a six-month loan, but United would like to sell him on a permanent basis. Rojo is surely not in Solskjaer’s plans.
Manchester United will do well without Marcos Rojo as he barely features for the team anymore, not even in cup competitions. Rojo is close to the twilight of his career and would like to have some game-time, away from Old Trafford.
