Gerrard has made big strides in his managerial career with Rangers FC as he has brought that team to the pinnacle and it looks almost like a certainty that they will lift the title.
Rangers FC hasn’t lost a game under Gerrard this season in the League as well as the Europa League. Rangers FC has opened up a huge gap at the top and has seemingly ended the Celtic domination in Scotland.
When he was asked by a reporter about Manchester United in a presentation he said
“United still seem a work in progress. You can see they have made massive strides. Bruno Fernandes has given everyone a massive boost.”
Even Gerrard has admitted that Bruno Fernandes has had a great impact on Manchester United and that they have been making great strides but a title this season seems unlikely. Manchester City seems to be creating a stable base at the top as Manchester United slip away from the summit. Despite all of this they have made great progress from where they once were.
They have also shipped off some fringe players and sent others on loan moves to make their career lively again but the question is how much time would people be willing to give Ole before they become desperate to see some silverware at the club.
Even the likes of Klopp took a great amount of time to make Liverpool such a dominant team but they had played three finals before that. Manchester United seems to be living with the semi’s curse in domestic competitions. A player of a rival team admitting that Manchester United has made strides is a great thing but it still feels like there is a long way to go.
