Sergio Romero and Phil Jones are two players who have lowered really down the pecking order in the last few seasons and while many had already shipped them off in their minds they still see themselves make the Premier League squad for Manchester United.
Sergio Romero has been desperate to leave the club for some time now but after the move didn’t materialize on the deadline day he still sees himself in the Red Devils dressing room and at the age of 33 the future is surely uncertain for a keeper like him.
There were rumours linking him to Inter Miami but they haven’t materialized. Phil Jones has also got a lifeline at the club when Ole Gunnar Solksjaer showed his faith in the defender and told everyone that he plans on having him in the squad.

Both the players have endured tough journeys at the club in recent times with new signings taking their place. New additions in the defensive unit have further diminished his chances and Manchester United is still trying their best to get more reinforcements in that department.
With Dean Henderson coming back to his parent club the chances look even slimmer for Sergio Romero and his age may be a big factor in why many of the top clubs may not want to pick him up as their first-choice keeper.
Both of these players had started their career with a lot of hope and promise but have since vanished off the scene little by little and this may just be their last chance at proving their legacy at this club.
