Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was open in criticizing his team calling them a “disgrace” after they suffered yet another defeat against Everton.
Everton won thanks to a deflected Anthony Gordon goal which was all it needed to seal the game. The goal was not just a match-winner but it also shut down any chances United had of securing a top-four finish.
Despite a promising start from the visitors, who had 68 percent possession, the Toffees were generally untroubled throughout the game, giving Frank Lampard’s side a vital boost in their fight to avoid relegation.

Rangnick’s team was sluggish on the ball and barely got past Everton’s defense. As a result, they were defeated, and they have now won only once in their past seven games across all competitions.
At full time, David de Gea voiced his disappointment, saying that Champions League football is becoming increasingly unlikely for Manchester United.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:
“It is a disgrace from us, we should be winning this game. We don’t score, we don’t create, that’s the problem. We don’t create proper chances to score. I don’t know what to say, we are not good enough, that’s for sure. It’s going to be difficult to get into the top four.”
It is not just a response from the Spaniard but an ugly truth that the club has lost grip in the league in past few games. The same has been the case with Arsenal who lost back-to-back games in the league.
But, Tottenham Hotspur has been having a good laugh as they are seven points clear of Manchester United and have much easier games to play compared to their counterparts.
West Ham has also not given up on the Champions League spot and they currently have the same number of points as the Red Devils David Moyes will motivate his team to fight till the end.
The race for the final spot in the league table is heating up and any team that makes it through needs huge praise for their efforts.
