Manchester United left-back Alex Telles may switch to Sevilla in the last weeks of the transfer window. The future of the Brazilian left-back has been cast into doubt with the signing of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, and it appears that he will move on.
Despite being at the club since 2020, Luke Shaw’s outstanding run of games has prevented him from getting his name on a Man United jersey. Telles failed to impress despite Shaw’s deteriorated form toward the end of last season, and it now appears like he may be loaned to a foreign team this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations with clubs in France and Spain over a prospective transfer are still going on with Sevilla being one of the clubs interested in the left-back.
Romano’s final tweet implies that Sevilla is considering a loan arrangement rather than a permanent transfer, as they did with Anthony Martial last year.
Alex Telles could leave Manchester United in the next weeks. Porto are not interested despite rumours, while Sevilla are among 2/3 clubs keeping tabs on Telles. 🔴🇧🇷 #MUFC

With United’s latest additions, the 29-year-old has essentially been demoted to becoming the third-choice left-back. He hasn’t had the best preseasons, frequently warming the bench before appearing against Rayo Vallecano.
After adding Lisandro Martinez recently, United may try to cut the team this month by selling a handful of players. As the upcoming season approaches, the team may decide to purge its defense, with Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe possibly the next players to leave.
