According to Fabrizio Romano, Man United full-back, Alex Telles left for Spain to have a medical before beginning a season-long loan with Sevilla on Thursday.
The Brazilian’s full salary will be paid by Sevilla, but there will be no loan fee or buyout option. His United teammate Eric Bailly has also been targeted by the Spanish squad as a potential replacement for Jules Kounde, who left for Barcelona last week.
Telles is no longer needed under Erik ten Hag, who has replaced Luke Shaw with Lisandro Martinez and brought in Tyrell Malacia to improve competitiveness. Brazilian full-back Telles made 26 appearances last season after moving from Porto to United in 2020 for a price of £15.8 million.

He has participated in preseason friendlies and was one of the goal scorers in last week’s friendly victory over Wrexham that was played in secret.
He is anticipated to join with Sevilla before the weekend because negotiations have moved rapidly. Sevilla and United have a good working relationship, and Telles will make a significant impact on their team.
Bailly is on Sevilla’s shortlist of three players and is expecting a significant offer despite having a Fulham offer and interest from Roma and AC Milan. Additionally, United is prepared to approve Ethan Laird’s loan to Watford this week.
