According to Corriere della Serra, Manchester United will need to fork out €65 to €70 million in order to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to sign a new striker during the summer given French striker Anthony Martial’s injury issues and Wout Weghorst’s below-par performances.
Hojlund is being recently linked with a number of clubs, and it is now asserted that it might cost between €65 and €70 million to lure him away from Atalanta.
Although United is one of his biggest admirers, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Inter Milan are also keeping an eye on him. The 20-year-old moved from Sturm Graz to Atalanta before the summer transfer window closed. Since then, he has played in 27 games and tallied eight goals and three assists.
Although the attacker’s track record is not very outstanding, he has great potential to succeed. Hojlund has tremendous speed on the counterattack and is both physically and aerially dominant.
He recently showcased his talent on the International stage by scoring five goals in just two Euro 2024 qualifying games for Denmark. The youngster has the capability to grow into an exceptional striker.
The talented left-footer’s well-known playing style has earned him the moniker “new Haaland.” It is unclear if United will spend a significant amount of money on him.
He is a raw talent who struggles with consistency right now, but with the appropriate coaching, he might develop over the next few years into a powerful goal scorer.
