Manchester United in talks with Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch’s agents

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly in talks with the agents of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch regarding a potential transfer this summer.

The Dutch star made the move to Bayern from Ajax in the previous summer transfer window. However, his first season at Bayern was challenging, with him playing less than 600 minutes in the Bundesliga.

The 21-year-old midfielder is currently considering his options and is open to a move to the Premier League. Both Man United and Liverpool have reached out to his representatives.

According to De Telegraaf, if Bayern Munich are reluctant to sell him this summer, there is a possibility of a loan deal.

United had expressed interest in signing Gravenberch from Ajax last summer, but he ultimately chose to join Bayern. However, his time at Bayern has not been as successful as hoped.

With Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka being established starters in Bayern’s midfield and the new signing Konrad Laimer also ahead of Gravenberch in the pecking order, he is exploring potential opportunities elsewhere.

The Dutch star is presently the second-choice backup midfielder in the Bayern squad, but the German giants might be hesitant to let him go given the limited time to find a replacement.

If the Bavarian giant’s stance were to change, a loan deal could be a viable solution. United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has a close relationship with Gravenberch, having given him his debut at Ajax.

While Liverpool also holds an interest in the player, the Red Devils may have an advantage in the pursuit due to Ten Hag’s presence.

United are currently in need of a midfielder who can provide defensive support to Casemiro, and Gravenberch would be a high-quality addition, given his familiarity with the playing style.
