It’s no surprise that even Newcastle United legendary striker Alan Shearer wants his club to sign Jesse Lingard this month.
Jesse Lingard’s quality is known to everyone and even Alan Shearer is a fan of this player. He has already labeled him as a good signing for Newcastle United.
On his official Twitter account, Shearer replied to a post asking whether the English midfielder would be a great signing for the Magpies this month. And he replied it quite clearly.

Jesse Lingard’s time at Manchester United doesn’t look promising right now as he has failed to get enough playing time. This season he has hardly been involved in the starting XI and has played only 88 minutes of football this season.
It’s already been a month and he is still at the club with the January transfer window just one week away from being shut close. He has just six months left on his current contract.
That means that United has to either let him leave for free at the end of his tenure or let him sign for another club right now for the correct price.

He has been sent on loan to numerous clubs across his 11-year spell at the club (five different clubs to make it exact). It doesn’t seem a good option if he leaves on loan again as he needs to play regularly.
He has the potential to deliver for any team and Newcastle could be a promising team to go for after their recent change in ownership. Eddie Howe is planning for a major team shake-up and he needs top-quality players to make that happen.
