Arsenal has joined Manchester United and Chelsea in the competition to sign Denzel Dumfries from struggling Italian powerhouse Inter Milan.
The 26-year-old full-back is a regular starter at the San Siro and has drawn interest from United and Chelsea in the past.
Dumfries has played 71 times for Inter during his almost two-year stay, helping them win the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup twice.
Erik ten Hag is familiar with Dumfries because he used to manage teams against the right back when he was a professional player at PSV. The right-back is also a regular in the Dutch national team lineup.
However, according to Fichajes, Arsenal has joined United and Chelsea in their pursuit of Dumfries. Due to their poor financial condition, Inter needs to make about £53 million in profit this summer from player sales.

This year, Mikel Arteta has started playing centre-back Ben White as a right-back, with Gabriel and William Saliba creating a reliable defensive pairing. But Takehiro Tomiyasu is also being used as a proper full-back in that position.
The Japan star’s appalling error in Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to Manchester City at home has raised concerns. But Dumfries is a natural right-back with much better-attacking skills.
The Gunners might try to sign him next summer and establish a stronger side, which would help them be more dominant in the league.

Meanwhile, United have Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as their right-back options. But Wan-Bissaka’s inability to provide more attacking chances has provided fresh issues for the club.
The English star could be sold this summer, and Dumfries will provide ideal competition for Dalot.
