Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund has described Manchester United as a “huge club” amid reports of a potential transfer to Old Trafford this summer.
United is currently searching for a prominent striker, and Hojlund is among the players being considered.
According to reports, manager Erik Ten Hag has had video conversations with the 20-year-old. Although Hojlund denied the rumours, he expressed his appreciation for being linked with the Red Devils.
While speaking to the Danish outlet Berlingske, he said:
“There has been no video call. I can’t say anything about that. It’s a huge club, so I must have done something right if it says they want me. My goal is to reach the top shelf, and you can say that Manchester United is. So it will be huge.”
The addition of Hojlund to United’s forward line would provide them with additional attacking power, as the team relied heavily on Marcus Rashford in the previous season.
The young player is known for his exceptional speed and ability to hold off defenders when receiving the ball.
However, it is important to note that Hojlund should not be the sole striker signing for Man United this summer. As a young talent still adapting to European football, he requires time to develop and improve his game.
It is crucial for him to learn from his mistakes and gain experience in order to refine his skills.

The Red Devils have shown interest in renowned strikers such as Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur and Victor Osimhen from Napoli. However, acquiring these players would require significant financial investment from United.
In the transfer window, it is crucial for the club to be strategic and avoid overspending on Hojlund. While Atalanta values their star striker at a minimum of £40 million, United should engage in negotiations to secure the deal at a more favourable price.
