Barcelona wants to be informed about Jadon Sancho’s situation at Man United

According to Sport, Barcelona are aware of the circumstances surrounding Manchester United star Jadon Sancho and may consider making a move to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is currently facing an indefinite suspension from the Red Devils due to his public criticism of manager Erik ten Hag following a loss to Arsenal.

Sancho has declined to offer an apology for his comments, potentially opening the door for his departure from Old Trafford.

The winger’s agent has reportedly engaged in discussions with Barcelona, and the club is well-informed about the English player’s situation.

While they acknowledge his abilities, any potential transfer would need to make financial sense. Sancho may have to consider a huge reduction in his wages for the move to happen.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are open to the possibility of loaning out the young player in the upcoming year. This approach is aimed at preserving his transfer value, with the intention of a permanent sale in the following summer.

Sancho’s time at United has been challenging. Despite arriving with a significant reputation from Borussia Dortmund, he has struggled to perform, with only 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances. His disappointing spell suggests that he could soon depart the club.

He has shown no desire to publicly apologize to the manager, and if he maintains this stance, it’s unlikely that he will be reintegrated into the squad.

Barcelona are a possible future destination for him, but it would depend on his willingness to accept a huge reduction in his weekly wages.

The club has recently seen Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo agree to such pay cuts when they joined on loan last month, and Sancho might need to consider a similar deal next summer.

There’s a possibility that the €32 million-rated player could be sent out on loan in January, with Roma emerging as a potential candidate to sign him for a short-term deal, especially given Jose Mourinho’s admiration for him.
