Manchester United have received positive news as midfielder Casemiro has returned to training with the Brazilian national team in preparation for their World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.
The 31-year-old had suffered an ankle twist during a 1-1 draw with Venezuela last week, forcing his substitution in the 79th minute.
It was initially said that there was a swelling in his ankle the following day, raising concerns about his potential absence.
However, according to Daily Mail, recent images show Casemiro participating in training ahead of the Uruguay match, indicating that he is likely to be in the starting lineup for Brazil.
The Selecao will face Uruguay in Montevideo in the early hours of Wednesday (UK time).

Following the match, Casemiro will make his way to Manchester. In his debut season with the Red Devils last year, the midfielder had an outstanding performance, making significant contributions both defensively and offensively for the club.
However, this season, his form has not been as consistent. The former Real Madrid ace has scored four goals and provided one assist, but he has occasionally struggled with retaining possession of the ball.
His performance in the Brentford game was below par, leading to his unexpected substitution at half-time earlier this month. However, he is eager to bounce back and make up for it.
In our opinion, the world-class player has the experience to turn his fortunes around in just a few matches.
It’s worth noting that Casemiro had a slow start in his debut season before improving, and it is hoped that we will witness a similar resurgence from him in the upcoming weeks.

Given the tight schedule after the Uruguay match, it will be interesting to see if Casemiro will secure a spot in the starting lineup for the Saturday evening game against Sheffield.
