Borussia Dortmund not interested in re-signing United star Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund does not intend to make a move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in the upcoming January transfer window, as reported by SportBild.

This decision comes in the wake of Sancho’s suspension by United following his public reaction to comments made by manager Erik ten Hag after their Premier League loss to Arsenal.

The English star is presently training separately from the first-team squad, and it’s reported that he won’t be included in the manager’s plans until he offers an apology.

While there has been speculation about a potential January departure and a reunion with Dortmund, SportBILD has made it clear that the German giants are not interested.

The German publication emphasizes that, for the moment, the 23-year-old winger is not a topic of discussion for the club. However, Sancho may have other options available to him during the winter transfer window.

The winger had an outstanding stint in Germany, amassing an impressive record of 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances across various competitions.

However, since his transfer to Old Trafford, he has struggled to replicate that success and has been living in the shadow of his earlier performance. In 82 appearances for United, spanning different managerial tenures, Sancho has managed just 12 goals and six assists.

Erik ten Hag recently excluded the youngster from the squad due to concerns about his lack of intensity in training, a decision that many found reasonable. However, what caught everyone by surprise was Sancho publicly criticizing the manager for this decision.

Consequently, the player has been removed from first-team training, and he has chosen not to extend an apology to Ten Hag. This refusal to apologize is the primary reason for his ongoing suspension.

There is still an opportunity for the attacker to rectify the situation. He needs to acknowledge his mistake and offer an apology in the near future; otherwise, he risks the chance of being transferred.
