Manchester United star player Bruno Fernandes is expected to sign a new lucrative contract that will more than triple his current salary.
The Portuguese playmaker is under contract with United until 2025, but they are keen to reward him with a new contract due to his impressive performances since joining the club in January 2020. He has been hugely influential in helping United secure Champions League football via back-to-back top-four finishes.

The Athletic has revealed that the new contract will be a five-year deal that would keep the 27-year-old at the club until 2027 and will triple his weekly income to £240,000.
Bruno Fernandes will now be paid the same as Paul Pogba (£12.5 million per year). Pogba is poised to leave Old Trafford this summer as a free agent, reducing the cost of Fernandes’ new contract.

Despite having a somewhat quiet season this year, which could be linked to United’s overall poor showings, Fernandes has remained one of the key players behind United’s success.
This season, he has nine goals and 14 assists in 37 games across all competitions. In 117 games for the club, he has a total of 49 goals and 39 assists.
Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, Paul Pogba, and Marcus Rashford are all on at least £200,000 a week, while Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are close to that figure.
Manchester United is in the midst of a rebuilding process on and off the field, but keeping an undoubtedly world-class player like Fernandes in the squad is always a plus point moving ahead.
