Paris Saint-Germain tipped to keep tabs on Paul Pogba ahead of the summer

Paris Saint-Germain are tipped to keep tabs on Paul Pogba ahead of the summer when the French midfield maestro enters free agency.

The Ligue 1 heavyweights have been linked with a move for the Old Trafford contract rebel in the recent past with United unable to tie down Pogba to extended terms despite repeated attempts.

With the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea also in the fray for the World Cup-winning midfielder, Pogba’s future in England’s top-flight beyond the end of the season continues to attract much speculation from all corners.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, while speaking to Que Golazo YouTube channel, claimed that Pogba and his representatives were still distant from other clubs in the transfer market but PSG retained their interest in the France international.

Romano also made note of the Parisians being on good terms with Pogba’s agent, the famed Mino Raiola, and the relationship could help them seal the player’s signature come the summer when he becomes a free agent and would look for a new playing destination.

“At the moment, I’m told that there is nothing advanced with any club.

“Of course, we’re talking about a top player and so it’s normal to have conversations with clubs.

“We know that last summer, Paris Saint-Germain had an interest in Pogba, they discussed with [agent Mino] Raiola, their relationship is so good – but then they never made an official bid for Paul Pogba. Let’s see if they want to do it for this summer as a free agent.”
