Manchester United’s first signing of the summer transfer window, Donny Van de Beek has settled in well at Old Trafford. The Dutch international is showing why Real Madrid were desperate for his signature, with his silky moves on the pitch. In his recent pre-match press conference, Manchester United talisman, Bruno Fernandes has lauded Van de Beek and says he is aware of his qualities on and off the ball.
Van de Beek’s signing was shallowly accepted by the United fanbase and even pundits and ex-players liked his signing. The 23-year old midfielder has already scored for the Red Devils and might take part in proceedings against PSG. Van de Beek hasn’t started a game in the Premier League for the Red Devils yet, but with a tough run of games coming up, his first start isn’t far off.
In his recent interview, Bruno Fernandes, when asked about Van de Beek, said: “I had a coach before from Sporting [Marcel Kaiser], he was Donny’s coach too at Ajax. I know how they want to play and how they like to play – they like that little one-two, that connection and that if we can say, ‘tiki-taka’ football and Donny is one of those guys from the beautiful Ajax football.”
Van de Beek is one of the most talented young players in the world and has produced the goods on the field. Solskjaer would hope that the Dutchman becomes one of the most important players in the Manchester United squad like Bruno Fernandes has become.
