This could see Luke Shaw line-up as part of a back three with Brandon Williams and right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka featuring as the two wings backs either side of Fred and Nemanja Matic in the middle.
New signing Bruno Fernandes would operate as the number 10 behind a front two, and Daniel James’s speed in the final third should give the Welsh star the edge to start along with Anthony Martial in attack.
Jesse Lingard and Brazilian playmaker Andreas Pereira are option for United manager in team selection while talented youngster Mason Greenwood is a good option for United with his impressive 10 goals from the wings across all competitions this season.
Odion Ighalo is unlikely to start in his debut against Chelsea having signed from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua last month. He is expected to make the bench on Monday night at Stamford Bridge.
