Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has given a befitting reply to rumours stating that he could leave for Portugal. Rumours started pouring in linking the 37-year-old with a move to Sporting Lisbon.
The striker has broken his silence on social media by revealing that he is focused on training amid uncertainty over his future. The transfer window has barely a week left until it shuts close but Ronaldo’s future still hangs by a thread.
However, the striker had revealed that he will be conducting an interview within a few weeks to talk about the baseless rumours being spread by the media. In front of his 102 million followers on Twitter, Ronaldo posted a new tweet after two weeks.
Keep working and focused 🙏🏽💪🏽 pic.twitter.com/W03sh6ggYE

The Portuguese striker didn’t start against Liverpool and came off the bench in the 86th minute. But by then the fate of the match was already decided and reports started coming in claiming that the manager has lost his cool with the striker.
The match against Southampton may provide a chance for Ronaldo to start since Martial is injured and the club has failed to sign a backup striker.
The striker’s agent, Jorge Mendes is still on the lookout for a new club for his client. However, it remains to be seen whether the player decides to stay at Old Trafford or move to another club in the coming days.
