Cristiano Ronaldo offered a huge £186m deal by Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr

In his search for his next club, former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have received a massive offer worth £186m from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The Portuguese only recently left Old Trafford after he mutually agreed to end the remaining terms of his contract as a result of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

He had only made eleven starts for the Red Devils before the imposed break for the World Cup. The great majority of them came in the Europa League, and he had only managed three goals in those games.

Ronaldo is now a free agent for the first time in his career as a result of his departure. Throughout the World Cup in Qatar, he will be trying to lure potential clubs with his performances. The sources indicate that a sizable offer has already been made to his agent Jorge Mendes. According to CBS Sports, the veteran would be able to play into his early 40s on a three-year contract from Saudi club Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo’s willingness to travel outside of Europe is hoped to increase following the World Cup in Qatar, for which the Saudi club has made an offer worth £186m for the legendary player.

Talks have advanced’ since contact between Al-Nassr and the striker’s agent began in the summer. Now it is up to Ronaldo to decide if he accepts the offer—the only one that is currently on the table—or waits for more offers.

In the summer, a plethora of teams was rumoured to be interested in snagging his services, including Napoli, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich. However, a deal never materialised.

It is highly unlikely for the Portuguese striker to accept such a lucrative offer in January as he wants to join a club that plays regular Champions League football.
