According to The Athletic, Crystal Palace is considering a summer transfer for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Under Ralf Rangnick, the defender has fallen out of favor and may quit the club. When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over permanently in 2019, the 24-year-old was his second signing, and while he made significant progress in his first season, he has stalled since.
Wan-Bissaka was such an important part of Solskjaer’s line-up than Diogo Dalot, who now fills his spot in the team.
Rangnick’s tenure hasn’t gone as planned, and rumours say that Crystal Palace is considering bringing him back to Selhurst Park. Patrick Vieira’s side has expressed interest, but it is very early in the process.

In 2019, defender Joel Ward filled Wan-Bissaka’s void at Palace, but the London club wants to add competition in that position, according to the report. Any decision to allow United’s most senior right-back to go would ultimately have to be approved by Erik ten Hag, who will take over as manager in June.
Wan-Bissaka’s contract is up in two years, while Dalot’s is up in one year, thus both players might leave this summer.
It’s safe to assume that adding a right-back to the squad isn’t at the top of United’s priority list in terms of incomings, but if United comes close to recouping the £50 million they paid for him three years ago, it will be difficult for United to ignore that much money.
Ethan Laird, who is on loan at Bournemouth, has been impressive in the Championship and has already made his first-team debut. The young defender could be given a chance to get into the first team.
