David Beckham has expressed his desire to be involved in Manchester United if a takeover of the club occurs.
The former Red Devils player believes that it is now crucial for the Glazer family to step away from their ownership of Old Trafford due to their loss of support from the fans.
Beckham’s interest in being part of the club reflects the widespread sentiment among fans who hope for positive changes in the club’s management and ownership.
According to the former Red, United currently requires planned investment if they want to reclaim their position at the top of English and European football.
The club’s ownership has been in a state of uncertainty for eight months, and it is unclear whether a takeover will eventually occur. Beckham’s remarks highlight the importance of financial backing and stability for the club to achieve success in the future.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Jim Ratcliffe are both contenders in the bid to acquire United. Despite being busy with other commitments, Beckham is willing to take on a role at the club if new owners successfully complete the takeover.
As stated by the Athletic, he said:
“I have a lot going on here at the moment and my focus has purely been on Miami and everything that goes on in my business.”
“But I haven’t been approached and I suppose any involvement with Manchester United would mean the world to me going forward. But who knows? We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks or months.”
“Hopefully, a decision gets made and if I’m involved in any way… if not, I’ll be a United fan and just do what all the other fans are doing — turn up and watch our team.”
The co-owner of Inter Miami has showcased his exceptional skills as a football administrator by successfully signing Lionel Messi for his Major League Soccer club.
Despite his current commitments, the former United Academy graduate remains deeply fond of his old club and would readily return if invited by potential new owners.
However, it appears that a takeover is not likely to happen this summer, and there are uncertainties surrounding the Glazer family’s intentions to sell the club.

The Glazers are reportedly seeking £6 billion for Man United, and the interested bidders have not yet met this asking price.
As a result, the process has become lengthy, and it could extend for more than eight months if both parties fail to reach a compromise.
This situation leaves the future ownership of the club in limbo and raises questions about when or if any changes in ownership will take place.
