Manchester United’s pre-season training started at Carrington from 2nd September, and many players have missed the beginning of the camp because of the Nations League. The likes of De Gea, Daniel James and Dylan Levitt were all in the starting XI last night for their nations. Each of those three players had a good game and their form will be encouraging for United as well.
De Gea started in goal for Spain against the mighty Germans and was one of the main reasons for the game to end as a draw. The Spanish goalkeeper pulled off some amazing saves and was even great with his distribution. De Gea had a torrid season last time around and is expected to come good, especially with Dean Henderson’s competition.
On the other hand, Daniel James and Dylan Levitt also were handed starts for the Welsh side against Finland. Both the players had a great game and Dan James also produced the only assists of the match. Levitt made his national team debut last night and was superb in distributing the ball to the flanks and covered a lot of ground.
James’ and De Gea’s form will be very encouraging for Solskjaer, as he will be counting on these to come good next season.
