As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been signed by Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.
After losing out to David de Gea for the starting goalkeeper position at Old Trafford, Henderson was eager to play for the first team.
The English goalkeeper has played in 49 Premier League games and has 17 clean sheets, however, he hasn’t competed regularly since May 2021.
It is understood that the loan deal contains no provision for a buyout and that Forest will pay his full salary for the whole campaign.

Henderson, who received his lone England cap in 2020, is reportedly aiming to make Gareth Southgate’s World Cup roster later this year.
Erik Ten Hag wants to help the goalkeeper make progress and get some desired game time this season. Such a deal would certainly help both the parties involved.
Manchester United now has only De Gea and Tom Heaton as the preferred goalkeeping options. Lee Grant has been hardly used and even Heaton has been kept as a backup. The fans may expect the Red Devils will sign another goalkeeper this season.
For the previous three years, Brice Samba has been Forest’s top choice in goalkeeping. The 28-year-old’s contract only lasts till 2023, but negotiations for a new contract have been halted.
Henderson is Forest’s second summer signing after Nigerian attacker Taiwo Awoniyi’s arrival from Union Berlin.
