Diogo Dalot praises Antony’s early impact after scoring his debut goal against Arsenal

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has praised fellow teammate Antony for his early impact after joining from Ajax.

The Brazilian made his presence felt almost instantly as he netted a brilliant debut goal against league leaders Arsenal.

The young attacker wanted to joining the Old Trafford outfit and it was his dream to play in front of the United fans. Erik ten Hag wanted his former player and after some nervy moments, he was finally able to sign the 22-year-old.

The huge £100 million price tag will increase the burden on any player but Antony was able to shrug off the pressure of his shoulders in just a matter of days.

The fans were able to witness a beautiful left-footed striker from Antony as he scored a stunning team goal. Diogo Dalot had praised the Brazilian for his quality and the change he had brought from the very first day.

As reported by the Mirror, the Portuguese right-back said:

“He’s very good. He showed that in just two or three days, that he could come on and make the difference he made with a beautiful goal, a beautiful team goal.”

“And I think he is one more player to help us. We want to build a very good squad this season, and with him we are going to have more quality. “He showed some desire, which I think I’m sure in saying that every fan will love that.”

Dalot will be relishing the opportunity to supply passes to Antony. United defeated Arsenal by a 3-1 scoreline and Marcus Rashford was the star of the show as he provided one assist and scored two goals.

However, Antony’s impact was crucial as his first goal gave the team a foundation to build on. The fans at Old Trafford did witness his sharp dribbling skills and the way tormented Arsenal’s Zinchenko.
