Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek may remain at Old Trafford until January, as per reports from Manchester Evening News.
Although Real Sociedad expressed interest in the 26-year-old earlier in the summer, they ultimately decided not to sign him. A potential move to Saudi Arabia was also considered, but the transfer window for the Saudi Pro League is about to close.
The only remaining possibility for Van de Beek to leave is Turkey, as their transfer window remains open for another week, and Fenerbahce have shown interest in securing his services.
United would consider it a disappointment if Donny van de Beek remains at Old Trafford beyond this summer. The midfielder is considered surplus to requirements, as indicated by his omission from the Red Devils’ 25-man squad for the 2023-24 Champions League group stage.

This indicates that Van de Beek is no longer part of Erik ten Hag’s plans at United. Van de Beek joined the club from Ajax in 2020 for a fee of approximately £30 million but has struggled with fitness and form, making just 60 appearances for United.
He had a loan spell at Everton during the 2021-22 season, but he failed to make a significant impact during his time at Goodison Park. The signings of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat have further diminished his chances of playing.

Man United are hoping that Fenerbahce will acquire the midfielder, either on a permanent transfer or a loan deal. It is not just United; Van de Beek himself also needs a move to revive his career, which has declined over the past three years.
