Dortmund reject first bid for Sancho

Manchester United FC have wasted no time in the transfer market and are looking to get their deals done soon. The Red Devils are reportedly clear about their priority list and are keen to get the signings done accordingly.

It is being reported that United have seen their opening bid of €98m for Jadon Sancho rejected by Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United are favourites to sign the talented English winger and are willing to sign him as soon as possible. Jadon Sancho has been for long linked with the Manchester club and the deal makes sense for both the parties. United have been lacking the attacking edge and depth, especially on the right flank, and Sancho’s arrival would make things right.

Sancho has racked up some amazing numbers for Borussia Dortmund this season, in the Bundesliga as well as in the Champions League. The 20-year old Englishman has got 20 goals and 20 assists this season in all competitions. Only Leo Messi has been able to beat that and no one else, other than those two, have achieved the feat.

The Red Devils are desperate to add creativity and experience to their attacking department this summer transfer window. Greenwood is only 18-years old, and though he has done very well, Solskjaer is reluctant on putting the pressure on him. With Sancho onboard, Solskjaer can even give chances to Greenwood and James to impress in cup games.

Dortmund are desperately trying to keep their prodigy in Germany, but will not be able to keep him for long. The player reportedly already has his mind at United, especially after the club secured a third-place position in the Premier League table. According to several journalists, United and Sancho have also agreed on his personal terms and a contract with the player has been sorted.

It is believed that Ed Woodward is preparing for a second bid which will be closer to Dortmund’s valuation of Sancho. Dortmund have earlier given the Red Devils an ultimatum of 10th August and want to make things clear about Sancho. The transfer might take time, but it is widely believed that Sancho will wear the United shirt next season.
