Edinson Cavani is greatly attached to his memories back at Paris Saint Germain.
The versatile striker has been one of the greatest goal scorers in the history of the French team. He scored a combined 200 goals for the club and once formed a fearsome striking partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic back at PSG. The Uruguayan then joined Manchester United as he was a free agent and was near entering his 35s.
Edinson Cavani had a very happy life back at PSG and was hugely admired by the PSG supporters. He was a regular starter for the team and a prolific figure in the dressing room and in front of the media.
Cavani in his kind words admired the PSG fans for their beautiful support. He said: “It’s what I keep for the rest of my life.”
When asked about his life in England, he said: “There are things that I think football is football for, no matter where you play or who you play against, what matters is what you do to win. For me, football is pure competition, on all sides with different characteristics.”
Edinson Cavani has scored 6 goals for United in 18 appearances this season. He has been very impressive in tight fixtures, though he has been ravaged by injuries still, he has been able to deliver in big games. A rather impressive display towards the end of the season may win him a contract for next season as well. We all hope that he gets the same treatment in Manchester and continues to help the team even further.
The young guns have been truly inspired by him. Solksjaer has signed him to provide leadership in the dressing room and Cavani has thrived in this role as of now. United fans will be pleased if he provides more goals at the end of the season.
