Fabrizio Romano: Amad Diallo expected to leave on loan

As reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is expected to leave on loan this summer. Many clubs have asked for his services but he only wants to move to a Premier League club.

FC Basel and Crystal Palace have made inquiries. Sheffield United has also shown great intent in signing him. But no decision has been made till now and the club will make a choice soon.

Amad Diallo joined Manchester United in January 2021 for a £35m fee. He initially played with the U23 squad and starting scoring from the very first game. In just three appearances, he had scored four goals and provided three assists.

He was soon handed his senior debut against Real Sociedad in last year’s Europa League round of 16 matches. He scored his first senior goal against AC Milan in the quarterfinal stage.

But he has failed to feature regularly. He has made just eight appearances for Manchester United where he scored one goal and provided one assist.

A loan move will be preferable for the young Ivorian Coast winger and a Premier League club is his requirement. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will be planning for a loan move as he wants Amad to play regularly and get some much-needed experience.
