Gary Neville has had a long and illustrious career with Manchester United and has gained the status of a cult hero. In a recent interview, he named the best player with whom he has shared the pitch in a Manchester United jersey.
“For me, he was the best centre-forward I ever saw at Manchester United and ever played with” Neville told Sky Sports. He was referring to Wayne Rooney with this statement.
Rooney or as he is affectionately called ‘Wazza’ officially announced his retirement from playing football as he immediately took over the job of the head coach at County Derby who is in a precarious moment right now.
