Mason Greenwood has quickly become an integral part of the Manchester United squad despite being only 19-years old. The teenager has been heavily criticized lately, mainly because of his indiscipline and attitude, especially in the training ground. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in his recent pre-match press conference, has cleared the air saying Mason is always on time and is very professional in training.
It was earlier reported that Manchester United and Solskjaer are frustrated with Greenwood’s attitude and his punctuality. The teenager was not included in the Red Devils’ matchday squads against Newcastle and Paris Saint Germain despite being pictured in training. Solskjaer had said that Greenwood has had a slight niggle, which was hard to believe as the manager didn’t give out any detailed information.
In his recent interview, the United boss said: “I have to disappoint you, he’s never late for training; he’s never a problem when he’s on the training ground. He’s always on time; I’ve seen some of the stories and even some ex-United players talking about him and they don’t really know what they’re talking about.”
Greenwood is one of the best young players in the world and surely has a lot of potential and is very well proving it. The hype around the Manchester United academy is real and he is expected to become one of the best players in the world. But to become successful at the highest level, the English lad will have to discipline his lifestyle and work hard on and off the pitch.
