Greenwood returns to Carrington

Mason Greenwood earned his first England call-up for the Nations League after his performances for Manchester United last season. The 18-year old also made his England debut but was then dropped off the England squad with Foden, for breaching isolation rules. It has now been reported by Manchester Evening News that Greenwood has reached Carrington and has trained alone.

It was a shock to football fans all over the fans when news came up of Greenwood and Foden being dropped from the national squad. As reported earlier, Greenwood issued a statement of apology and also promised to stick to rules. It was also reported that Solskjaer and Pep would have a one-on-one talk with Greenwood and Foden respectively, regarding the entire scenario.

According to reports, Greenwood has returned to Manchester and has also visited Carrington, working on his fitness for about an hour, yesterday. But today he wasn’t spotted, as other United players reported for training at Carrington. United will play their only pre-season friendly against Aston Villa tomorrow and it is unlikely for Greenwood to feature in the game.

Greenwood is one of the most talented youngsters in football and is expected to play a huge role for Manchester United in the near future.
