As the club battles to win the race for the Premier League’s top four spots, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has dismissed allegations of a rift between him and Cristiano Ronaldo over the captaincy role.
Harry Maguire hasn’t been at his best this season, and it’s been stated that the United captain feels stifled by Ronaldo’s influence, with his captaincy role being in trouble due to his presence.
Earlier this week, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford rejected claims of a dressing room feud involving Cristiano Ronaldo, and now, Maguire has denied the newest reports.
Through his official Twitter account, Maguire said:
“I’ve seen a lot of reports about this club that aren’t true and this is another. Not going to start posting about everything that is written but I needed to make this one clear.”
I’ve seen a lot of reports about this club that aren’t true and this is another. Not going to start posting about everything that is written but I needed to make this one clear. We’re united and focused on Sunday. Enjoy your day everyone 💪🏻 @ManUtd https://t.co/YxLhQn8pqf

Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday moved them back into the fourth position in the English Premier League, and the race for the top four finish is heating up right now.
However, the club faces a tough battle under interim manager Ralf Rangnick, with a number of other teams like West Ham, Arsenal, and Tottenham in the race.
Interesting, Arsenal and Tottenham have played three fewer games than Manchester United.
With Manchester United struggling for form in the Premier League, it’s unclear whether Maguire will continue to lead the team. With 43 points, the Red Devils are in fourth place, 20 points behind champions Manchester City and only two points ahead of fifth-placed West Ham.
