Manchester United are scheduled to take on Watford this Saturday in the 5th game of their season.
Javi Gracia’s side is all set to face mighty United who have been out of form recently. The players will be back after a good international session and would be wanting to continue the momentum. Before we leap into the match let’s have a look on How Watford could line up against Man Utd?
Watford line-up(4-2-2-2)
Javi Gracia would be reluctant to change his preferred formation against a team who has not been in fine touch. The Hornets have started 3 out of their four games in a formation of 4-2-2-2 and will not focus on new formation.
Goalkeeper
Foster seems to be a dead cert for Watford, seeing the performance of former English international. The keeper already had a clean sheet in his name this season and has not allowed opponents to score the ball through him, more than once in a game. The battle will call for two top goalkeepers playing against each other.
Defenders
Javi Gracia will give a nod to Kabasele and Cathcart, to take charge of the central defence. Cathcart has surely ceased his place in Watford’s defence after scoring a brilliant winner for Hornets against mighty Spurs. D. Janmaat may feature in the right-back position along with J. Holebas featuring at left.
Defensive midfielders
Doucoure and Capoue will be seen on the right and left wing of defensive midfield. The defensive duo has been performing well except for the last game where Doucoure conceded an own goal. The duo’s test will be against top names of the clubs, a test worth showing the skills they possess.
Attacking midfielders
R. Pereyra, the Argentine star has been top performer for Watford, scoring three goals in four games. Roberto Pereyra can play alongside W. Hughes who has been in a good notch.
Strikers
The weak defence of United will be happily welcomed by Watford strikers A. Gray and Deeney. Both the strikers will feel this game is a golden chance of scoring against an elite club, considering the poor defensive unit they’ll play against. And if Luke Shaw fails to improve his injury, the strikers can be seen testing the goalkeeper way more times.
Up for the test are Watford! But is United ready?
