Juan Mata is one of the most experienced players in the Manchester United squad and the midfielder has still got it in him. The Spaniard is still one of the best ball players in the Premier League despite his age. In his recent interview with MUTV, Mata has played about Bruno Fernandes and his telepathic connection on the field, helping United create goalscoring chances.
Mata has been lately getting chances only in the cup games against weaker oppositions, where he gets space and time. The midfielder started last weekend in the win against Newcastle, and there is a huge chance of him starting against his former employers Chelsea tomorrow. In his recent interview, Mata talked about his linkup with Manchester United’s talisman Bruno Fernandes.
In his talk, Mata said: “I enjoy playing with (Bruno) and with players like him. I think we understand football in the same way. We both like to play in spaces and play and move, to create opportunities for our strikers. We understand each other really well on the pitch.”
This is a clear indication of how well both the creative midfielders understand each other and play accordingly to create more openings.
Solskjaer would expect this partnership between Mata and Fernandes to grow and prosper even more as it would benefit Manchester United. Juan Mata has reached the twilight of his career and will try his best to keep his performances up to the mark and get as much game time as possible.
