Thomas Solomon, Karim Adeyemi’s agent, has revealed that Manchester United were interested in signing his client before he decided to move to Borussia Dortmund.
Following Erling Haaland’s meteoric rise, the Red Devils were extensively linked with a move for young star Karim Adeyemi, who has been the latest striker to get wonderful reviews at Red Bull Salzburg. He has had a fantastic season, scoring 23 goals and assisting another eight in just 42 games, which has attracted top clubs this summer.
He’s getting closer to joining Dortmund as the German club prepares to replace Haaland, who is expected to join Manchester City.
Manchester United were also allegedly interested in the Norway international, but both forward targets may now be out of reach.

Solomon, the German striker’s agent, revealed that United were interested in signing him, but he chose to join Borussia Dortmund instead.
Aa reported by The Manchester Evening News, he said: “We’re now close to completing the deal with Borussia Dortmund. There will be no release clause included into his five-year deal. Rangnick? Yes, Manchester United wanted to enter the race – but we want BVB.”
The Red Devils will be trying to improve their team this summer in preparation for new manager Erik ten Hag, with a striker being one of the primary priorities.

Edinson Cavani is expected to leave the club at the end of the season, while Cristiano Ronaldo will be available for one more year. United might still lose Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan are among the players linked with a move to Old Trafford. This season, both the strikers have played well in Serie A, scoring 32 goals between them.
Meanwhile, a new defensive midfielder and a centre-back are on the summer wish list, with a deal for Leeds’ Kalvin Philipps in the works.
