Manchester United FC have been keen on selling players who Solskjaer doesn’t think as a part of his plans for the future. The Red Devils have sold Sanchez earlier this summer and are very close to selling the likes Sergio Romero and Chris Smalling. It is now being reported by the Tuttomercatoweb that Lazio are very keen on signing Marcos Rojo to solve their defensive issues.
Marcos Rojo has had a terrible United career, mostly due to his poor fitness record and injury woes. The Argentine defender has barely been able to cement his place in the starting XI, throughout his time at Old Trafford. Last season, in the winter transfer window, Rojo was sent out to Estudiantes on-loan, where he played only one game before getting injured.
Last month, Rojo returned to Manchester and was even pictured today in the United pre-season training camp. But it is reported that Lazio are keen on signing Marcos Rojo as they believe he will be able to solve their defensive issues. Manchester United are reportedly open to the idea of selling Rojo this summer and expect about €8m for the services of Rojo.
Manchester United will be happy to sell Rojo as Solskjaer doesn’t see him as a part of his plans and could use the money generated by his sale elsewhere.
