Manchester United have a goalkeeping issue right now in the squad, as it consists of three well-established goalkeepers and four in total. The goalkeeping department includes De Gea, Henderson, Romero and Lee Grant, but luckily for United, all the shot-stoppers like each other. In his latest talk with Manchester United Official Website, Lee Grant has talked about how impressed he has been with Dean Henderson.
Dean Henderson extended his contract with Manchester United until 2025 earlier this summer, cementing his place in the squad. Henderson is now United’s second-choice goalkeeper and Lee Grant is the fourth-choice goalkeeper in the Red Devils squad. Despite being a competition for Henderson, Lee Grant has expressed his happiness with Dean Henderson’s progress at Manchester United.
He said: “As Dean showed really well on a couple of occasions you have to be ready when called upon. I have been impressed, but not just from him. David has come back with a really high level so I’m really pleased for David and how he has started the season as well.”
Dean Henderson has played well for the Red Devils in his first couple of games in the Carabao Cup. The Englishman looks set to become United’s long-term replacement of David De Gea, who is in the decline.
