Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson has officially moved to Crystal Palace, as confirmed by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Henderson, who plays for the England national team, had been on the bench for United in their first three games of the new season.
Last weekend, Crystal Palace reached an agreement on the transfer fee, and Henderson has now completed all the necessary formalities.
Tavolieri’s confirmation has put an end to the ongoing speculation regarding Henderson’s future. Palace will pay an initial fee of £15 million, with an additional £5 million potentially being added through performance-related bonuses.

Henderson had no intentions of being a backup to Andre Onana this season, and United’s decision to permanently part ways with him appears to be the right one.
The club has already identified Henderson’s replacement in the backup role, Altay Bayindir. The Turkish talent is set to join from Fenerbahce in the next few hours for a fee of approximately £4.3 million.
Bayindir is a modern-style goalkeeper known for his adeptness with the ball at his feet, precise long-distance passing, proficiency in claiming high balls, and his ability to act as a sweeper-keeper.
He is expected to feature in Manchester United’s Carabao Cup and FA Cup matches, and there’s a possibility he may be called upon in the Premier League if Onana is unavailable during the early months of 2024 due to the African Cup of Nations.

During his time at his previous club, Bayindir wore the number one shirt, and he is likely to assume the same jersey with United. This number has been unoccupied since David de Gea departed on a free transfer.
