Man United suffer major blow as Aaron Wan-Bissaka is sidelined for several weeks

As stated by the club’s official website, Manchester United have received a major blow as defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be sidelined for several weeks due to injury.

Wan-Bissaka has been a crucial figure for the team since the beginning of the year, taking over the right-back position from Diogo Dalot towards the end of the previous season.

The English star had secured his spot in the starting lineup for the new season, but he is now facing time off due to an injury. He made a late appearance as an 85th-minute substitute against Brighton on Saturday due to an illness.

The Red Devils have now disclosed that the injury occurred during his brief time on the pitch. While a complete evaluation is needed, initial signs point to him being unavailable for approximately two months.

United’s Premier League season has begun poorly, with three losses in their first five games. Their upcoming Champions League match against Bayern Munich presents a significant challenge, and they have encountered a major setback before the game.

Wan-Bissaka, renowned for his one-on-one defending skills, would have played a crucial role against players like Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the upcoming match.

Diogo Dalot is now expected to take over the right-back position in his absence. Under Ten Hag’s guidance, Dalot has made significant improvements and become one of the team’s most consistent players.
